Vuzix Smart Glasses M100

Smart Glasses M100 is the latest tech eyewear from headset manufacturer Vuzix. It is the world’s first enhanced hands-free display for the smartphones. Smart Glasses M100 projects a WQVGA display with a 16:9 aspect ratio showing the screen of the connected smartphone. The device is designed to work both indoors and outdoors. Smart Glasses M100 will run Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich and will be powered by 1GHz OMAP4430 processor and 1GB RAM. For multimedia, it will feature a camera capable of taking still photos and shooting 720p HD videos. For connectivity, It supports Bluetooth 3.0 and Wifi 802.11 b/g/n. For Storage Smart Glasses M100 will come with a 4GB flash memory in addition to the microSD card slot. Battery life on this smart Glasses gives up to 8 hours hands free and 2 hours hands free plus display use. While the M100 runs Android 4.0, Vuzix has included support for iOS devices and plans to release an SDK for developers sometime in december. The headset also includes a GPS and a compass that can be used for navigation apps. Smart Glasses M100 will be launched at CES 2013 next year and will go on sale during Q3 of 2013 for less than $500.
