Sony has officially announced two new smartphones at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The new Xperia XZ2 is the flagship device whereas the Xperia XZ2 Compact is the smaller of the two variants.
The new Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. In size, it measures 153 x 72 x 11.1 mm and weighs 198g. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the Xperia XZ2 packs a 19MP Motion Eye camera with 4K recording capability and an 8MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory and support for micro-SD card. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3190mAh battery with fast charging technology.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact on the othe hand features a 5-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. In size, it measures 135 x 65 x 12.1mm and weighs 168g. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the new Xperia XZ2 Compact packs the same advance 19MP Motion Eye camera as the Xperia XZ2. For storage, it comes with a 64GB internal memory and support for micro-SD card. In addition to that it comes with a 2870mAh battery which is expected to last whole day on single charge.
Both the new smartphones are now available to purchase from leading mobile retailers all around the globe. The Xperia XZ2 is available to purchase in four different colors: Liquid Black, Liquid Silver, Deep Green and Ash Pink whereas the Xperia XZ2 Compact will be available to purchase in Black, White Silver, Moss Green and Coral Pink.
