OnePlus has officially announced it’s ‘2014 Flagship Killer’, the OnePlus One, featuring a special edition of CyanogenMod OS. It was previously rumored few weeks ago. In size, it measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and weighs only 162g. The OnePlus One features a 5.5-inch JDI display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (401ppi pixel density). It will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, the OnePlus One packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with dual LED flash and front facing 5 Mega Pixel camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/GPS-A, GLONASS, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections.
The OnePlus One comes pre-installed with a special release of Cyanogenmod 11S ROM which is based on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS. For storage, it comes with internal memory of 16GB or 64GB. In addition to that OnePlus One comes with a powerful 3100mAh battery. The OnePlus One will initially be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and United States. In a new promo, OnePlus is offering 100 lucky buyers to get the latest OnePlus One for $1 as long as they send a video of smashing their old phone to pieces.
OnePlus One will be the next flagship smartphone from Chinese startup OnePlus featuring CyanogenMod 11 ROM based on Google’s Android 4.4 OS. It is expected to feature a 5-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The OnePlus One will be powered by Qualcomm’s 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB RAM.
The OnePlus One will come pre-installed with CyanogenMod 11 ROM which is based on Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS. For storage, the OnePlus One will come with 16GB or 64GB built-in memory. In addition to that it will come with a powerful 3100mAh non-removable battery. “A removable battery would have meant adding a protective layer to the motherboard as well as extra circuitry, resulting in a smaller battery (2500 mAh, 20% less battery juice!) or a significantly thicker phone,” says OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. Update : The OnePlus One will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p JDI display with 400+ ppi pixel density. The screen will be equipped with both CABC and DRAM technology.
Update : The OnePlus has developed a new Voice command feature that detect voice commands and performs actions accordingly even when phone is locked. There is a poll going on OnePlus forums to choose the command that will wake-up/unlock the OnePlus One.
