Sharp has officially announced new Aquos S2 featuring bezel-less design and Google’s latest Android OS. In size, it measures 141.8 x 72.0 x 7.9 mm and weighs 140g. The new Aquos S2 features a unique bezel-less 5.5-inch 4K display with resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and 4GB/6GB RAM (depending on storage). For multimedia, the new Aquos S2 packs a dual camera setup (12MP/8MP) for improved low light photography and an 8MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.

 

The new Aquos S2 comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB/128GB. In addition to that it comes with a 3020mAh battery that is expected to last whole day on a single charge. Samsung W2018

 

 

The Samsung W2018 is rumored to be the next high end flip phone from Korean giant Samsung featuring Google’s Android OS. It is the successor to Samsung W2017 and is also known by its code name Samsung SM-G9298. The new W2018 will feature two 4.2-inch Full HD touch screens with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821AB processor. For multimedia, the new W2018 will pack a 12 Mega Pixel camera at back and a 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.

 

 

 

The new W2018 is also rumored to come pre-installed with Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. In addition to that it will come with 2300mAh battery that will support wireless charging technology. Xiaomi Mi 5X Official

 

 

The Mi 5X is the latest mid-range smartphone rrom Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi featuring Google’s Android OS. It was extensively leaked for the past few weeks. The new Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the new Mi 5X packs a 12MP dual cameras at back capable of shooting 4K videos and a 5MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.

 

The Mi 5X comes pre-installed with MiUI 9 which is based on Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory and support for micro-SD card. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3080mAh battery that is expected to last whole day on a single charge. The new Mi 5X will be available to purchase in three different color options: Black, gold and rose gold (pink). It will go on sale in selected markets including China in the coming weeks for $220. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active 

 

The Galaxy S8 Active is rumored to be the next rugged smartphone from Korean giant Samsung featuring Google’s latest Android OS. The design of Galaxy S8 Active is similar to Samsung’s current flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with the exception of curved edge display. According to newly leaked images, the Galaxy S8 Active will have a rear mounted fingerprint scanner right next to the camera module. Other features include USB Type=C port on the bottom and a massive 4000mAh battery that is expected to last two days on a single charge.

The Nokia 2 is rumored to be the next entry level smartphone from HMD owned Nokia featuring Google’s Android OS. It is mainly aimed at first time smartphone buyers. The Nokia 2 will feature a 5-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 or 212 processor. For multimedia, the Mi 5X will come with Dual cameras at back. In addition to that it will come with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

Vivo Officially Launches New Vivo X9S and X9S Plus Smartphones

Vivo has officially announced two new selfie focused mid-range smartphones: Vivo X9S and X9S Plus. Both these smartphones comes pre-installed with GOogle’s latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS and Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 3.0. 

The Vivo X9S (pictured above) features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the Vivo X9S packs a 16MP f/2.0 camera at back with LED flash and a dual front facing selfie cameras (20MP and 5MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture). There is also a front facing LED flash for better low lighting condition. For storage, it comes with 64GB non expandable internal memory. The Vivo X9S also comes with a fingerprint scanner Incorporated in the home button. In addition to that it comes with a 3320mAh battery. 

The Vivo X9S Plus (pictures above in black) features a bigger 5.85-inch full HD AMOLED display, octa core Snapdragon 653 processor, 4GB RAM, 16MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, Dual front facing selfie cameras (20MP and 5MP sensor), fingerprint scanner Incorporated in the home button, 64GB non expandable internal memory and a powerful 4015mAh battery. 
Both these smartphones will be available to purchase in three different color options: Gold, Rose gold and Matte Black. The Vivo X9S will go on sale in China in the coming weeks for CNY 2698 ($396), while the bigger X9S Plus will available to purchase for CNY 2998 ($440). Stay tuned for more updates.
