Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung Galaxy S III is the third generation of Galaxy Smartphone from south korean company. After the recent success of Galaxy S2 Samsung is growing fast and is a genuine threat to Apple’s iphone. Galaxy S3 will feature a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The powerhouse of the device is 1.8GHz quad core processor (First in any Samsung smartphone), with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Galaxy S3 will have 12 Megapixel camera capable of shooting clips at 1080p at 60 frames per second – twice what most current phones are capable of. Galaxy S3 is said to come with a near-field communication (NFC) chipset, which will allow tap-and- go payments and remote data transfer. Other main features are Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), accelerometer, Gyro sensor, 4G Network connections, Wifi, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0. Rumors are that Samsung will officially unveil the device in April 2012 in a seperate press conference.

Overall Galaxy S3 is impressive and will go head to head with another quad core powered HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD. Other challengers include iPhone 5, BlackBerry London, Motorola Razr Maxx and Nokia Lumia 900. Samsung Galaxy S3 is available worldwide from all the leading mobile operators. Update : Samsung Galaxy S3 has been delayed again and is now romored to release in May 2012. According to new reports, Samsung Galaxy S3 will be thinnest smartphone to date with only 7mm thick.

Update : Samsung is holding a press event in London on May 3 and is expected to launch next generation Galaxy S3. It’ll be released shortly after the initial launch.

Update : Samsung Galaxy SIII will be available from all leading mobile operators from May 30, 2012. Available in Black or White.

Update : Samsung Galaxy SIII will get an upgrade to Jelly Bean next month (Late August very likely). Galaxy Note II will come pre-installed with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) and will launch on August 30.
