Samsung has officially announced its latest flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 8 featuring Google’s Android OS. In size, it measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm and weighs 195g. The Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB RAM. For multimedia, the new Galaxy Note 8 packs a Dual 12MP cameras at back (Telephoto camera + wide angle camera) with Dual Optical Image Stabilization and 4K video recording at 30fps and an 8MP wide angle front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The Galaxy Note 8 comes pre-installed Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and Samsung’s own Bixby voice assistant. Press the Bixby button to go to Bixby Home. For storage, it comes with a 64GB/128GB built=in memory and support for micro-SD card. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3300mAh battery. The new Galaxy Note 8 and the S Pen are IP68 certified, meaning they are both resistant against dust and water. It also comes with Iris scanner, fingerprint scanner and face recognition technology to improve biometric authentication. The new Galaxy Note 8 will be available to purchase in four different colors: Midnight Black, Deepsea Blue, Orchid Gray and Maple gold. It will go on sale in selected markets including US and Europe starting September 15. Stay tuned for more updates.
