OnePlus 5T




OnePlus has officially launched its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5T at a press event in New York. It is the successor to current flagship OnePlus 5. In size, it measure 156.1 x 75 x 7.3mm and weighs 162g.


The new OnePlus 5T features a 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio Optic AMOLED display with resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB/8GB RAM.For multimedia, the new flagship packs a dual camera setup (16MP Sony IMX 398 f/1.7 + 20MP IMX 376K f/1.7 cameras) on the back and a 16MP f/2.0 front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth v5.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, NFC technology, USB Type-C and LTE mobile connections. The OnePlus 5T sports a fingerprint scanner on the back for added security. It also come with a new Face Unlock feature which is the fastest facial recognition feature on any smartphone. It takes only 0.4 seconds to recognize the face and unlock the phone. Unlike the current flagship smartphones of 2017, the new OnePlus 5T comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.


The new OnePlus 5T comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB/128GB internal memory. Additionally, it will also come with a powerful 3300mAh battery that supports fast charging with Dash charge. There is no support for wireless charging on this flagship device. The OnePlus 5T will go on sale in selected markets including US, Europe and Asia for $499/£450/€500 (64GB variant) starting November 21st. Stay tuned for more updates.

OnePlus has officially announced a new OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition at a comic con event in India. The new variant will go on sale later this month in India. The price and availability is still unknown but OnePlus is expected to announce more details in the coming weeks.
