Samsung Galaxy S5


Samsung has officially announced its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It is the successor to current flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4. In size, it measures 142 X 72.5 x 8.1mm and weighs 146g. The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1inch full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (415ppi pixel density). It is powered by 2.5GHz quad core processor and 2GB RAM. The Galaxy S5 is IP67 dust and water resistant. It comes with a Finger Scanner, providing a secure, biometric screen locking feature and a seamless and safe mobile payment experience to consumers. For multimedia, the Galaxy S5 packs a 16MP rear camera capable of shooting 4K videos and front facing HD camera for video calls. The Galaxy S5 offers the world’s fastest autofocus speed of up to 0.3 seconds and the advanced High Dynamic Range (HDR), reproduce natural light and color with striking intensity at any circumstances. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/GPS-A, USB 3.0, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections.


The Galaxy S5 comes pre-installed with Android 4.4.2 (with TouchWiz UI) and additional Samsung features like advanced S Health 3.0. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 2800mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 21 hours. The Galaxy S5 will go on sale around the world by the end of April 2014. It will be available to purchase in Europe for €600. There is nothing exciting to look for in the fifth generation Galaxy S smartphone.
