BlackBerry Q10

BlackBerry (formerly known as RIM) officially announced BlackBerry Q10 alongside the next flagship BlackBerry Z10. It will be the first BlackBerry 10 device to feature a full QWERTY keyboard. The form factor of this handset is similar to its last flagship, BlackBerry 9900. For the past 15 months, RIM has been in news for all the wrong reasons but looking forward to this year it might just change the smartphone industry with its new operating system. Apple and Samsung have eaten into RIM’s market share since the launch of iPhone and Galaxy Series. The BlackBerry Q10 features a 3.1-inch AMOLED display with the resolution of 720 x 720 pixels (330ppi pixel density). It IS powered by 1.5GHz dual core processor and 2GB RAM. For connectivity, the BlackBerry Q10 will support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections. For multimedia, it comes with an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p video and a front facing HD camera for video calls. Overall, BlackBerry Q10 is really impressive and a true successor to the latest flagship BlackBerry 9900.

The new operating system and design might just reverse the fortune of a company that has taken a lot of beating in 2012. There is no official confirmation on pricing and availability from BlackBerry but the CEO Thorsten Heins said that BlackBerry Q10 is expected to go on sale in US during April 2013.
