BlackBerry Passport will be the next flagship smartphone from j manufacturer BlackBerry featuring the latest BlackBerry 10.3 OS. It was previously leaked few weeks ago. The BlackBerry Passport will feature a 4.5-inch display with resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels (452 ppi pixel density) and a Touch sensitive keyboard that will support gestures in addition to physical key press. The keyboard will be like a huge trackpad with loads of optional gestures like swipe up for validating word and swipe left to delete word. The icons on Windermere smartphone will form a 5 x 4 grid on a 4.5-inch display. The BlackBerry Passport will be powered by Qualcomm’s quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, it will pack a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and front facing 3 Mega Pixel camera for BBM Video calls.

The BlackBerry Passport will come pre-installed with BlackBerry’s next generation BlackBerry 10.3 OS. For storage, it will come with 32GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3450mAh non removable battery. Rest of the specifications are unknown but BlackBerry CEO John Chen has confirmed that BlackBerry Passport will be officially announced at a press event in London in September 2014. Update : According to a new report, BlackBerry Passport will go on sale in Europe, Canada and UAE starting October 1st 2014. The prices start from €650 or $800 for a base model.
