Xiaomi has officially announced second generation Mi Mix 2 smartphone featuring bezel-less display and Google’s Android OS. It is the successor to original Xiaomi Mi Mix and was extensively leaked for the past few weeks. The new Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB/8GB RAM. For multimedia, the Mi Mix 2 packs a 12MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and a 5MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The Mi Mix 2 comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 7 Nougat OS and MIUI 9. For storage, it comes with a number of options (64GB/128GB/256GB). In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3400mAh battery that is expected to last whole day on single charge. The new Mi Mix 2 will be available to purchase in black color. Xiaomi will also launch a special edition Mi Mix 2 packing a 8GB RAM and 128GB storage in a ceramic body. The base variant of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will go on sale for €420. The special edition Mi Mix 2 will be available to purchase for €700. Stay tuned for more updates.
