Nokia has officially announced its latest flagship Nokia 8 smartphone featuring Google’s Android OS. It is the first flagship device from Nokia after acquired by HMD Global. The new Nokia 8 features a 5.3=inch 2.5D display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the new Nokia 8 packs two 13MP cameras (color + monochrome) at back with laser auto focus and optical image stabilization and a 13MP front facing with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection auto focus. The Selfie camera on Nokia 8 is capable of livestream split-screen video from the front and back cameras to social media channels like YouTube and Facebook.
The new Nokia 8 comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory with support for micro-SD card. The new Nokia 8 also comes with Nokia’s own OZO technology for an improved audio experience. In addition to that it comes with a 3090mAh battery that is expected to last whole day on single charge.
