The OnePlus 5 is the latest flagship smartphone from Chinese manufacturer OnePlus featuring Google’s latest Android OS. It is the successor to OnePlus 3T which was launched last year. In size, it measures 154.2 x 74.1 x 7.25mm and weighs 153g. The OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 6/8GB RAM. For multimedia, the OnePlus 5 packs a 20MP f2.6 and 16MP f1.7 dual cameras at back with dual LED flash and a 16MP front facing camera for video calls and selfie pictures. The OnePlus 5 also comes with a ceramic fingerprint sensor on front which can unlock the smartphone in 0.2 seconds. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port and LTE mobile connections.
The OnePlus 5 comes pre-installed with Oxygen OS 4.5 which is based on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. In addition to that it comes with a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support. The OnePlus 5 will go on sale in selected markets including US, UK and Asia in the coming days. The 64GB/6GB variant will be available to purchase for $479/£449 and the 128GB/8GB variant will cost $539/£499. Stay tuned for more updates.
