LG has officially announced LG G6+, a new variant of flagship LG G6, featuring additional storage and memory. The design will be similar to current flagship LG G6 . LG G6+ features a 5.7-inch QHD display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB RAM. For multimedia, the LG G6+ packs a 13MP rear camera and 5MP wide angle front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The LG G6+ also comes with a new Face Print feature that enables users to unlock the LG G6+ by simply holding the phone up to their faces without the need to press any button. The unlocking takes less than a second and the camera is only activated when the phone is raised to the face.
The LG G6+ comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat OS and LG UX 6.0. For storage, it will come with 128GB of built-in memory with support for micro-SD card. In addition to that it comes with a 3300mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 charging technology. The new LG G6+ will also comes with premium earphones from B&O Play to take full advantage of the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC in the smartphone. The new flagship will be available to purchase in three different colors: Optical Astro Black, Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold. It will go on sale in selected markets including Korea starting next month. Stay tuned for more updates.
