Samsung has officially announced two new mid-range smartphones mainly aimed at young Selfie generation, the Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max. Both these smartphones are targeted towards young audience who wants to share pictures on social media effortlessly.
The Galaxy J7 Pro (pictured above) features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by 1.6GHz octa core Exynos 7870 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, the new Galaxy J7 Pro packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 13MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. It also has a social camera feature which makes it easy to share pictures and videos to the social media. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory with support for micro-SD card. The Galaxy J7 Pro comes with a fingerprint scanner for extra security. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3600mAh battery which is expected to last whole day on a single charge. The new Galaxy J7 Pro also supports Samsung Pay, similar to high end Galaxy A and Galaxy S Series smartphones.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 Max features a 5.7-inch 1080p display, octa core MediaTek Helio P20 (MT6757V) processor, 4GB RAM, 13MP front and rear cameras, 32GB internal storage plus support for micro-SD card, fingerprint scanner on the front and a powerful 3300mAh battery. Unlike Galaxy J7 Pro, the Galaxy J7 Max supports Samsung Pay Mini (lacks support for NFC payments).
Both these smartphones comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Galaxy J7 Pro will go on sale in selected markets including India in the coming weeks for $325 whereas Galaxy J7 Max will be available to purchase for $290.
