Sony has officially announced two new smartphones, the Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.
The Xperia XZ Premium is the latest flagship smartphone from Japanese manufacturer Sony featuring Google’s latest Android OS. In size, it measures 156 x 77 x 7.9mm and weighs 195g. It is also world’s first smartphone to feature a 5.5-inch 4K HDR display. The Xperia XZ Premium is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, it comes with a 19MP Motion Eye camera capable of recording 960fps Super Slow Motion videos and a 13MP front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The Xperia XZ Premium also comes with a fingerprint sensor incorporated in the home button. It also comes with a USB Type-C port for fast data transfer and charging.
The Xperia XZ Premium comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3230mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The Sony Xperia XZ will be available to purchase in two different colors: Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black.
The Xperia XZs features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 19MP Motion Eye camera capable of shooting 960fps Slow motion videos, 32GB internal memory with support for micro-SD card and Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. In size, it measures 146 x 72 x 8.1mm and weighs 161g. The Xperia XZs will be available to purchase in three different colors: Ice Blue, Warm Silver and Black. It will go on sale in selected markets including US and Europe for $700. Stay tuned for more updates.
