LG has officially announced the new flagship smartphone, the LG G5, at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. It features a new transformative design featuring slide out battery and modular functionality. The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch always on display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the LG G5 packs a 16 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 4K videos and an 8 Mega Pixel wide angle Dual Selfie camera.
The LG G5 comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android OS. For storage, it comes with 32GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. The new flagship smartphone also comes with a fingerprint scanner that improve security on the device. In addition it comes with a 2800mAh battery. The modular component at the bottom of the smartphone can be removed to access battery, sim slots and several add on accessories like LG camera grip, LG Cam Plus, a video button and zoom dial. The LG G5 will go on sale in selected markets starting April 2016. Stay tuned for more updates.
