The Galaxy S6 Active is the latest rugged smartphone from Korean giant Samsung featuring Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It is the successor to Galaxy S5 Active which was launched last year. The Galaxy S6 Active features a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (577ppi pixel density). It is powered by Samsung’s own 64-bit octa core processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, the Galaxy S6 Active packs a 16 Mega Pixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 5 Mega Pixel wide angle front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The Galaxy S6 Active is built to withstand whatever everyday life throws it’s way. It has IP68 certified casing that is water resistant up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. For storage, it will come with 32GB built-in memory. The Galaxy S6 Active comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3500mAh battery with wireless charging capability. The Galaxy S6 Active will be available to purchase in US from AT&T starting June 12th.
