Wiko Officially Announces Highway Star 4G and Pure 4G

Wiko has officially announced two new smartphones, the Highway Star 4G and Highway Pure 4G at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Both smartphones are aimed at budget friendly consumers who wants all the new features of Android without spending a fortune.

The Highway Star 4G features a 5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (294ppi pixel density). In size, it measures 141.4 x 71.4 x 6.6mm and weighs only 123g. It is powered by 1.5GHz octa core processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Highway Star 4G packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Dual SIM functionality and LTE Cat.4 mobile connections. The Highway Star 4G comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 2450mAh battery.

The Highway Pure 4G features a 4.8-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. In size, it measures only 5.1mm in thickness and is incredibly light at 91g. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Highway Pure 4G packs an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For storage, it comes with 16GB built-in memory. The Highway Pure 4G comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS. In addition to that it comes with a 2000mAh battery.

Price and availability for both these smartphones are still unknown but Wiko is expected to release them in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates.
