The Grand S3 is the latest flagship smartphone from Chinese manufacturer ZTE featuring Google’s Android OS. It is world’s first smartphone to pack an eye based biometric security via Eyeprint ID. The technology has been developed by EyeVerify and can be used for unlocking smartphones, accessing secure content and authorising mobile payments. The ZTE Grand S3 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, the Grand S3 packs a 16 Mega Pixel rear camera with Dual LED flash and an 8 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A and LTE mobile connections.
The ZTE Grand S3 comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS (will be upgraded to Android 5.0 in near future). For storage, it comes with 16GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3100mAh battery that is expected to last whole day on a single charge. The ZTE Grand S3 is now available to purchase in China for CNY2999 (~€430).
