Xiaomi Mi Note is the latest flagship phablet from Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi featuring Google’s latest Android OS. In size, it measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95mm and weighs 161g (0.15mm thinner and 9g lighter than Apple’s flagship iPhone 6 Plus). The Xiaomi Mi Note features a 5.7-inch Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (386ppi pixel density). It is wrapped in 3D curved Gorilla Glass 3 on both the front and back. The Mi Note is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, it packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and Dual-color LED flash and 4 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/GPS-A, Dual SIM functionality and LTE mobile connections.
The Xiaomi Mi Note comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS and MiUI 6 UI. For storage, it comes with 16GB or 64GB built-in memory. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3000mAh battery which is expected to last whole day on a single charge. The 16GB Mi Note will go on sale for ¥2,299 (£244) and 64GB will be available to purchase for ¥2,799 (£297).
Xiaomi also announced the Mi Note Pro, which comes with a QHD display (2460 x 1440 pixels), powerful Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in memory. It will go on sale for ¥3,299 (£351). Stay tuned for more updates.
Update : Xiaomi Officially Announces New Bamboo Edition Mi Note
Xiaomi has officially announced a new special edition of Mi Note. The back cover of the special edition Mi Note is made of natural bamboo. The specs will be similar to the original Mi Note. The new Bamboo Edition Mi Note will go on sale for RMB 2299 ($370) starting March 24th.
