LG has officially announced the new G Flex 2 smartphone at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. It is the successor to world’s first flexible smartphone, the LG G Flex, which was launched back in October 2013. In size, the G Flex 2 measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm and weighs 154g. The G Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD Curved POLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (403ppi Pixel density). It is powered by Qualcomm’s 2.0GHz 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 810 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the G Flex 2 packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 2.1 Mega Pixel front facing camera for Selfie pictures and video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections.
The LG G Flex 2 comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. For storage, it comes with a 16/32GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3000mAh non removable battery that is expected to last whole day on a single charge. The LG G Flex 2 will be available to purchase in Korea by the end of this month.
