The iPhone 7 (or iPhone 6S) is rumored to be the next flagship smartphone from Cupertino giant Apple featuring the next generation iOS 9. It will be the successor to current flagship, the iPhone 6. The specifications and design are still unknown but According to Apple Blogger John Gruber, Apple is working on the “biggest camera jump ever” for the next iPhone. It will feature an improved camera system with two lenses that will take DSLR like pictures.
“The specific thing I heard is that next years camera might be the biggest camera jump ever. I don’t even know what sense this makes, but I’ve heard that it’s some kind of weird two-lens system where the back camera uses two lenses and it somehow takes it up into DSLR quality imagery. “
Rest of the specifications are still unknown but Apple is expected to launch iPhone 7 by the end of Q3 of 2015. The iPhone 7 will compete against other flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z4. Stay tuned for more updates.
Update : Apple’s Next Flagship May be Able to Rotate Itself in Mid Air and Will Always Land Right Way Up
Apple has received approval for a patent that describes a phone which can sense when it has been dropped, thanks to the built-in motion sensors, and use the motor that makes a vibrating ringtone to shift in mid-air so that the screen is facing directly upwards when it lands. This, it claims, makes breakages less likely.
The patent also describes how the battery could be ejected from the phone in order to change the direction it is spinning.
It even suggests that a headphone socket could be made to contract when it detects a fall, potentially stopping an impact with the floor by using the lead as a safety cord.
