BlackBerry Passport is the latest flagship smartphone featuring the next generation BlackBerry 10.3 OS. It is world’s first smartphone to feature a unique 1:1 square display. In size, it measures 128 x 90.3 x 9.3 mm and weighs 196g. The BlackBerry Passport features a 4.5-inch Full HD square display with resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels (453ppi pixel density). It offers a better viewing experience than a 5-inch smartphone thanks to its screen’s extra width. The new revolutionary physical keyboard on BlackBerry Passport is touch sensitive and comes with custom commands like flick to type and swipe left to delete to improve productivity.

The BlackBerry Passport is powered by Qualcomm’s 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB RAM. For multimedia, the BlackBerry Passport packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and front facing 2 Mega Pixel camera for BBM Video calls and Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, NFC technology, DLNA, MHL 2.0 and LTE mobile connections. For storage, it comes with a 32GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes down a powerful 3450mAh battery that is expected to last 30 hours on a single charge.

The BlackBerry Passport comes pre-installed with BlackBerry 10.3 OS. It brings new features like flat UI, BlackBerry Assistant, Quick Settings available anywhere with a two finger swipe, Lift to wake up device and face down for power save. The Passport also comes with Amazon AppStore which brings over 240,000 Android apps to BlackBerry customers. There is no more app gap for potential BlackBerry buyers. The popular Android apps like Netflix, pinterest, Candy Crush Saga and Instagram are all available for direct download from Amazon App Store. The BlackBerry Assistant is the first virtual assistant available on BlackBerry platform that can manage simple tasks like searching email and calendar, finding out what’s trending on Twitter, Weather updates, change notifications profile and lot more with a simple voice command. The new flagship will also come with an innovative Natural Sound Technology to offer superior audio experience during BBM and cellular calls. In addition to that it comes with Stereo speakers that provides tablet like volume.
