The Desire 820 is the latest mid-range phablet from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC featuring Google’s Android 4.4 OS. It was previously rumored few weeks ago. In size, it measures 157.7 x 78.74 x 7.74 mm and weighs 155g. The Desire 820 features a 5.5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest 1.5GHz Octa core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Desire 820 packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting Full HD videos and an 8 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and high resolution Selfie pictures. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, DLNA and LTE mobile connections.
The Desire 820 comes pre-installed with Android 4.4 KitKat OS and latest version of HTC Sense UI. For storage, it comes with a 16GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a 2600mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 22 hours on 3G connections. The Desire 820 will go on sale in Europe and Asia in the coming weeks.
