Sony has officially unveiled the second generation Xperia Compact smartphone at IFA 2014. It was previously leaked few weeks ago. The design of Xperia Z3 Compact is similar to Sony’s latest flagship smartphone, Xperia Z3. The Xperia Z3 Compact features a 4.6-inch dust and water resistant display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (319ppi pixel density). In size, it measures 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 129g. It is powered by 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Xperia Z3 Compact packs a 20.7 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 4K videos and 2.1 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls and Selfie pictures.
The Xperia Z3 Compact comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. For storage, it comes with 16GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. The Xperia Z3 Compact (alongside flagship Xperia Z3. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 2600mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 14 hours.
