The Galaxy Alpha is the first high end smartphone from Korean giant Samsung featuring metal casing. It was previously leaked few months ago. In size, it measures 132 x 66 x 6.7mm and weighs only 115g. The Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (317ppi pixel density). It is powered by Samsung’s own octa core Exynos processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Galaxy Alpha packs a 12 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GPS-A, NFC technology, LTE mobile connections.
The Galaxy Alpha comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS. For storage, it comes with a 32GB built-in memory. The Galaxy Alpha also comes with a fingerprint scanner (similar to flagship Galaxy S5) incorporated into the physical home button and Heart rate monitor at the back. In addition to that it comes with a removable 1860mAh battery. The Galaxy Alpha will be available to purchase in five different colors: Black, White, Gold, Silver and Blue.
