Samsung has officially announced Samsung Z, first smartphone to be powered by Tizen OS. In size, it measures 138.2 x 69.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 136g. The Samsung Z features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by 2.3GHz quad core processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Samsung Z packs an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera and 2.1 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections.
The Samsung Z comes pre-installed with Tizen 2.2.1 OS. It offers a fast, optimal performance with improved battery management. For storage, the Galaxy Z comes with 16GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. In addition to that it comes with a 2600mAh battery. The Samsung Z will go on sale in selected regions by the end of Q3 of 2014. Stay tuned for more updates.
