Samsung has officially announced the second generation Galaxy Beam featuring Google’s Android 4.2.2 OS. In size, it measures 134.5 x 70 x 11.7 mm and weighs 166g. The Galaxy Beam 2 features a 4.7-inch WVGA display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHZ quad core processor and 1GB RAM. For multimedia, the Galaxy Beam 2 packs a 5 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A and 3G mobile connections.
The key feature of Galaxy Beam 2 is its built-in pico projector with WVGA resolution. The Galaxy Beam 2 comes pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.2.2 OS. For storage, it comes with a micro-SD card slot. The Galaxy Beam 2 will go on sale in China in the coming weeks. There is no official information available on the international release yet.
