The Galaxy S5 Mini is rumored to be the next mid-range smartphone featuring Google’s Android 4.4 OS. It will be the successor to Galaxy S4 Mini. The design of Galaxy S5 Mini will be similar to current flagship Galaxy S5 (pictured above). The Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It will be powered by quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB RAM. For multimedia, the Galaxy S5 Mini will pack an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls.
The Galaxy S5 Mini will come pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat and latest TouchWiz UI. For storage, it will come with 16GB internal memory. In addition to that it will come with a 2100mAh battery. There is no further information available on the handset but Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy S5 by the end of Q2 of 2014. Update : According to a leaked screenshot from @evleaks, Samsung’s next mid-range smartphone Galaxy S5 Mini will come in various color options like black, blue, gold, white and yellow. The leaked image shows Galaxy S5 Dx on Samsung’s official UK website.

An anonymous tipster sent specs and pictures of Samsung’s next mid-range smartphone Galaxy S5 Mini to SamMobile and confirms that the upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature a 4.5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, an unannounced 1.4GHz Exynos 3 CPU, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front facing camera and Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
Update : According to a new report from SamMobile, Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will go on sale in selected markets worldwide by the end of July 2014.
