Sony has officially announced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Xperia M2, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In size, it measures 139.6 x 71.1 x 8.6mm and weighs 148g. The Xperia M2 features a 4.8-inch qHD display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels (229ppi pixel density). It is powered by 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor and 1GB RAM. For multimedia, Xperia M2 packs an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting Full HD videos and front facing HD camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections. The Xperia M2 comes pre-installed with Google’s Android Jelly Bean OS. For storage, it comes with an 8GB internal memory. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 2330mAh battery. The Xperia M2 will be available to purchase in Europe starting April 2014.
