The Desire 8 will be the next mid-range phablet from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC featuring Google’s Android 4.4 OS. The press image (pictured above) of Desire 8 was leaked on a Chinese website MyDrivers. The Desire 8 is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch display. For multimedia, it will pack a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera and 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, the Desire 8 will support Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A and dual-SIM functionality. It will be available to purchase in different colors like cyan, orange, red white and yellow. There is no further information available on the phablet but HTC is expected to launch Desire 8 in Beijing on March 18th 2014. Stay tuned for more updates.
Update : HTC will unveil its latest mid-range smartphone Desire 8 at a press event in Beijing on February 24th 2014.
According to @evleaks , HTC A5 will feature a 5.5-inch Super LCD2 display, 1.6GHz quad core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera, 8GB built-in memory plus micro-SD card slot, Sense 6.0 UI and Android 4.4 OS. It will be available in five different colors – black, white, red, yellow and purple.
