The BlackBerry Ontario is rumored to be the next flagship smartphone from Canadian manufacturer BlackBerry featuring its next generation BlackBerry 10.3 OS. It will also be the first BlackBerry smartphone to be powered by quad core processor. The specifications of Ontario were leaked in a new Geekbench 3 app results (pictured above). The BlackBerry Ontario will be powered by 2.3GHz quad core processor and 2GB RAM. It will come pre-installed with BlackBerry 10.3 OS. There is no further information available on the smartphone but BlackBerry is expected to launch Ontario by the end of Q3 of 2014. There is still a possibility that new management under John Chen has abandoned the development on Ontario. Stay tuned for more updates.
Update : BlackBerry Ontario is rumored to feature a 5-inch OLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (441ppi pixel density). It will be the first BlackBerry smartphone to feature a full HD display and quad core processor. The BlackBerry Ontario will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 CPU and 3GB RAM. It will come pre-installed with BlackBerry 10.3 OS.
