Sony has officially announced a new micro-USB flash drive that delivers 2-in-1 functionality for Smartphone and tablet users. It features a dual micro-USB and USB 2.0 for sharing content between Android smartphones and tablets without using cables or Wi-Fi connections. In size, it measures 18.9 x 9 x 31.4mm and weighs only 6g. The new Micro-USB drive supports most Android smartphones and tablets running Android 4.0.3 to 4.3 OS. The new Micro-USB can also be used as additional or temporary storage to store large data files like movies and music albums. Additionally, a free File Manager app will be available from the Play Store to manage (copy/delete/playback/sort) files from your smartphone. The new Micro-USB drive is also compatible with all Computers and Macs with USB port. The new USB makes sharing pictures between two smartphones quick and easy. The new Micro-USB flash drives will be available in three different variants depending on the onboard storage – 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. It will go on sale in January 2014. The prices start from $19.99 for 8GB flash drive. Stay tuned for more updates.
