Nokia Normandy

Nokia Normandy is rumored to be the codename for the next entry level smartphone from Finnish manufacturer Nokia featuring Google’s Android OS. It is developed as an equivalent to the low cost Asha Series. The Normandy will run a customized version of Google’s Android OS, similar to what Amazon uses for Kindle Fire tablets. It will have access to all the popular Android apps. An image of Normandy smartphone was previously leaked in November by @evleaks, showing a Lumia design device with no capacitive buttons for navigation. The Nokia Normandy development is described by one insider as going at “full steam ahead”. There is no further information available on the Normandy smartphone but it is expected to go on sale in 2014. There is also a good chance that Microsoft will kill the Normandy project before its reported 2014 release. Stay tuned for more updates.
