The Idol X+ is rumored to be the next flagship smartphone from Alcatel featuring MediaTek’s true octa core processor. It will be the successor to current flagship Idol X, which was launched at the beginning of 2013. The Idol X+ will feature a 5-inch full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by MediaTek’s octa core MT6592 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, Idol X+ will pack a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p videos and front facing 2.1 Mega Pixel camera for video calls. For storage, it will come with 16GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. The Idol X+ is expected to launch by the end of Q1 2014. It is rumored to launch alongside Alcatel’s first SmartWatch.
