The Desire 501 is the latest entry level smartphone from Taiwanese manufacturer featuring Google’s Android 4.2 OS. In size, it measures 128.5 x 66.9 x 9.8mm and weighs only 130g. The Desire 501 features a 4.3-inch WVGA display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by 1.15GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM. For multimedia, the Desire 501 packs an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting HD videos and 2.1 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, micro-USB, NFC technology and 3G mobile connections. The Desire 501 comes pre-installed with Android 4.2 OS and HTC Sense UI. In addition to that it packs a powerful 2100mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 10 hours. The Desire 501 will be available to purchase in Taiwan starting December 2013 for NTD 9900 ($330).
