The Nokia Lumia 525 is the latest entry level smartphone from Finnish manufacturer Nokia featuring Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 8 OS. It was previously rumored few months ago and is the successor to world’s most popular Windows Phone, Lumia 520. In size, it measures 119.9 x 64 x 9.9mm and weighs only 124g. The Lumia 525 features a 4-inch super sensitive IPS display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (235ppi pixel density). It is powered by 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB RAM. For multimedia, Lumia 525 packs a 5 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting HD videos. Other main features include Nokia Smart Camera, cinemagraph lens, panorama lens, Bing vision, touch focus, landscape orientation, auto and manual exposure, auto and manual white balance, active toolbar, full screen viewfinder, Geo-tagging, automatic photo upload to web services, full resolution phone and video upload. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, GPS-A and HSDPA mobile connections.
The Lumia 525 comes pre-installed with Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 8 OS. For storage, it comes with 8GB built-in memory, micro-SD card slot and free 7GB SkyDrive cloud storage. In addition to that, the Lumia 525 packs a 1430mAh battery that gives talk time of up to 17 hours and Standby time of 14 days. There is no official information available on pricing and availability but Lumia 525 is expected to go on sale in December 2013. Stay tuned for more updates.
