The LG G Flex is officially the world’s first smartphone to feature real curved POLED display. It is the latest flagship smartphone from LG Electronics featuring Google’s Android 4.2 OS and a new UI that takes advantage of the curved form factor. in size, G Flex measures 160.5 x 81.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs only 177g. The LG G Flex features a 6-inch curved POLED display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The ultra-thin, ultra-light flexible POLED display panel is built on plastic substrates instead of glass, giving G Flex its unique shape and durability. The display is brighter and more precise thanks to the application of Real RGB, which contains all three sub-pixels (red, green and blue) in one pixel. The G Flex is powered by 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the LG G Flex packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting full HD videos and 2.1 Mega Pixels front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GPS-A, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections.
The LG G Flex comes pre-installed with Android 4.2 OS and new custom UI to take advantage of curved display. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 3500mAh curved battery specifically designed for curved smartphone. The curved battery reduces the physical stress on the battery pack when in curved form and provides better stability and performance. The LG G Flex is also the first smartphone to feature a ‘Self Healing’ coating on the back cover that has the ability to recover from the daily wear and tear scratches, keeping the G Flex looking newer for longer.

Update : LG G Flex will go on sale in korea starting November 12th, for 999,900 Korean Won or $940. It will also be available to purchase in Europe (France) in December 2013.

Update : LG has officially announced that it will make its innovative ‘Knock Code’ feature available on current flagship LG G2 and LG G Flex via a firmware update which will be rolled out in April. The LG’s Knock Code feature allows users to wake and unlock the phone simultaneously, providing more convenience and greater security over conventional password and pattern-based security options.
