The Surface Pro 2 is the latest flagship tablet from Microsoft featuring next generation Windows 8.1 OS. It is the successor to original Surface Pro tablet. The new Surface features a 10.6-inch full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Intel’s Haswell processor and 4GB or 8GB RAM. Microsoft claims that this new tablet produce 50 percent more color accuracy and is 20 percent faster than the Surface Pro. For connectivity, it supports three USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, audio in and audio out. The Surface Pro 2 can be paired with Microsoft’s new Power Cover to get 2.5 times the battery life of original Surface Pro. The battery life is improved by 75 percent thanks to the Haswell processor. The Surface docking station is an optional accessory with the new Surface Pro 2 tablet. It features 4 USB ports, Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet port, audio in and audio out. The docking station supports up to 3840 x 2160 resolution external displays and is capable of editing 6K video. The Surface 2 comes with an optional Type Cover 2 which is 1mm thinner that predecessor and is backlit and completely silent. In addition to that it comes with Best of Skype experience, which allows free international calling and free Skype Wifi hotspot access for year. For storage, it will come with built in memory of 64GB or 128GB or 256GB or 512GB. The 64GB or 128GB variant will come with 4GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB will come with 8GB RAM. Pre-orders for next generation Surface Pro 2 tablet will start on September 24th. The price for Surface Pro 2 (64GB / 4GB RAM) will start at $899.
