Sony QX Series Cameras are the latest lens cameras that bring new level of fun and creativity to the mobile photography experience. They were previously rumored few months ago. The innovative DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 cameras use Wifi connectivity to instantly transform a connected smartphone into a powerful photographic tool, allowing it to capture high quality images and HD videos. The Lens Cameras use the latest version of Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile app to connect wirelessly to a smartphone, converting the bright LCD screen of the phone into a real-time viewfinder. The app can be activated using NFC one touch with compatible devices. Once pictures are taken, they are saved directly on both the smartphone and the camera, and can be shared instantly via social media or other mobile apps. The Lens cameras can also be operated as completely independent camera if desired, as both DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 cameras have a shutter button, memory card slot and rechargeable battery. The Cyber-shot DSC-QX100 camera features a premium, high quality 1-inch 20.2 Mega Pixel Exmor RCMOS sensor. The sensor is paired with a fast, wide aperture Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with 3.6X optical zoom and a powerful BIONZ image processor for high quality images. The camera sports a dedicated control ring for camera like adjustment of manual focus and zoom. The DSC-X10 features a powerful 18.2 Mega Pixel Exmor RCMOS sensor and versatile 10X optical zoom Sony G Lens. In size, it measures 63.5 x 63.5 x 33mm and weighs only 113g. The camera has a built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization to combat camera shake. The Lens cameras will be available in two deifferent colors – black and white. The new Cyber-shot DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 will be available to purchase later this month for about $500 (£320) and $250 (£180), respectively.
