Xperia Z1 is rumored to be the next flagship smartphone from Japanese manufacturer Sony featuring Google’s Jelly Bean OS. It was previously known by its codename Honami. The Xperia Z1 will feature a 5-inch dust and water resistant display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, Xperia Z1 will pack a 20.7 Mega Pixel rear ExmorRS camera with Sony G lens and 2 Mega Pixel front facing camera. For connectivity, it will support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS-A, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections. The Xperia Z1 will come pre-installed with Google’s Android 4.2 OS. In addition to that it will pack a powerful 3000mAh battery. The Xperia Z1 will get an official launch at Sony’s IFA 2013 press event in Berlin on September 4th. It is likely to come in three different colors – black, white and purple. The Sony Xperia Z1 will compete against other flagship smartphones like Apple iPhone 5S, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 1020, BlackBerry Z30 and Samsung Galaxy S4 .
