BlackBerry 9720

BlackBerry 9720 is the latest entry level smartphone from canadian manufacturer BlackBerry featuring legacy BlackBerry 7 OS. It is designed for a premium look and available in a variety of vibrant colors. It was previously leaked few weeks ago. The BlackBerry 9720 features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 360 pixels (214ppi pixel density) and a full size QWERTY keyboard which will be popular with BlackBerry fans. It comes pre-installed with BlackBerry 7.1 OS which features an updated interface that let’s you swipe to unlock the phone or access the camera from the lock screen. The refreshed BlackBerry 7.1 OS let’s you quickly type your message one and post it simultaneously and instantly to friends on BBM, Twitter and Facebook. For multimedia, BlackBerry 9720 packs a 5 Mega Pixel rear camera for pictures and videos. The new BlackBerry 9720 features a dedicated BBM key that makes it quick and convenient to access BBM. The latest version of BBM, which features BBM Channels will soon be available for download from BlackBerry World. The BlackBerry 9720 comes with a built-in FM radio which can be used to listen to local FM radio stations. In addition to that it will come with 512MB RAM and microSD card slot. Update : According to a new report, BlackBerry’s latest entry level smartphone BlackBerry 9720 will go on sale for $280 or £180. If true then it is really ambitious from Blackberry to charge $280 for a smartphone featuring 2.7-inch display, 512MB RAM and an eighteen month old OS.
