ZTE Open is the first commercially available smartphone from chinese manufacturer Huawei powered by Mozilla ‘s Firefox OS. It is mainly aimed at budget friendly consumers. In size, it measures 114 x 62 x 12.5mm and weighs only 130g. The ZTE Open features a 3.5-inch display with resolution of 480 x 320 pixels (~165ppi pixel density). It is powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz MSM7225A Snapdragon processor and 256MB RAM. For multimedia, ZTE Open packs a 3.2 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting videos. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth v2.1, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, GPS-A and HSDPA mobile connections. For storage, ZTE Open comes with a 512MB built in memory and microSD card slot (2GB microSD card included). The ZTE Open comes pre-installed with Mozilla’s first mobile version of Firefox OS. Firefox has its own Marketplace where over 1146 apps are available right now. There are all the big names like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Evernote and many more. The ZTE Open is now officially available to purchase in spain and retails for €69 (includes €30 of prepaid airtime). It will get a global in coming few weeks.
