Acer Iconia W3 is the first Windows 8 tablet to feature a 8-inch display. In size, it measures 11.4mm in thickness and weighs only 498g. The Iconia W3 was previously rumored few weeks ago when Amazon accidentally leaked the info on its website. Most of the specs listed on site were correct. The Iconia W3 features an 8.1 inch CrystalBrite LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by dual core Intel Z2760 processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, it packs a 2Mega Pixel rear and front facing cameras. The Iconia W3 comes pre-installed with full desktop version of Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 pro OS. For storage, it comes with 32GB or 64GB built-in memory. The Iconia W3 supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS technology. In addition to that Iconia W3 will packs a powerful 3500mAh battery that will last for up to 8 hours. The Iconia W3 can also be transformed into a tiny Windows 8 laptop by adding an optional keyboard accessory. There is no information available on availability but Acer has confirmed that Iconia W3 will be available within next few weeks. It will start taking pre-orders for the tablet on Tuesday.
