The PadFone 2 is second generation smartphone from Taiwanese manufacturer Asus featuring Google’s Jelly Bean operating system (Android 4.1). In size, it measures 138 x 69 x 9mm and weighs only 135g. Unlike latest flagship The PadFone 2 features a 4.7-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (312ppi pixel density). It is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz quad core processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the PadFone 2 packs a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p videos and 1.2 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS technology and LTE mobile connections. The PadFone 2 comes with an internal memory of 16GB or 32GB or 64GB. In addition to that it comes with a powerful 5000mAh battery that will last for up to 16 hours on normal usage. The PadFone is primarily a smartphone but by sliding it into a PadFone docking station, you get a fully functional 10.1-inch tablet. In size, the PadFone dock measures 263 x 181 x 10mm and weighs 649g. The 10.1-inch display comes with a resolution of 1280 x 800 (149ppi pixel density). The best feature of PadFone docking station is its large battery. The PadFone 2 costs £600 (for 16GB version) and is now available from all leading mobile stores.
