Samsung Galaxy S4 : Life companion

Galaxy SIV is the latest flagship smartphone from korean manufacturer featuring Google’s latest Jelly Bean OS. It is the successor to most popular smartphone in the world, Samsung Galaxy S3. In size, Galaxy S4 measures 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm and weighs only 130g. The Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (441 ppi pixel density). It will be powered by 1.8GHz 8 core Exynos 5 Octa processor and 2GB RAM. For multimedia, the Galaxy S IV packs a 13 Mega Pixel camera at rear capable of shooting 1080p videos and a 2 Mega Pixel front facing HD camera for video calls. The camera also comes with a dual mode using which users can use both the rear and front facing camera in a video just by clicking a button. For connectivity, it will support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC technology, GPS/GLONASS technology and LTE mobile connections. The Galaxy S4 comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 4.2 OS. The Galaxy S4 comes with an in-built translation app called S-translator which can be used to translate foreign languages. This app is deeply integrated in the operating system so S-translator will automatically translate any email, messenger chat in other language to the one that a user prefer. The Galaxy S4 is borrowing Air View feature from current flagship phablet Galaxy Note II. The feature allows a user to hover his/her finger over certain files to preview content and don’t even have to touch the smartphone display. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will also be the first device to ship with security feature Knox. The Knox keeps your personal and professional life separate on the same smartphone. The other important feature of this current flagship is the S Voice drive. The Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with an upgraded S Voice drive feature that will let drivers to navigate, find place of interest and interact with phone without taking any hands off the wheel. Samsung Smart Scroll feature is also added to the latest flagship. It let’s users to navigate a page up and down by tilting the smartphone in corresponding direction. In addition to that Smart Pause feature intelligently detects eye movements to stop a video when the user is looking away from smartphone. The Galaxy S4 also comes with a removable 2600mAh battery which can be charged wirelessly by using a wireless charging pad. Overall, the latest flagship is all about the software that it comes with. The design stays similar to previous flagship Galaxy S3. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will compete against other flagship smartphones like Apple iPhone 5S, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and BlackBerry Z10. It will go on sale during April 2013. The Galaxy S4 comes in two colors – Black & White and will be available from 327 mobile operators around the world in 155 countries. Update : Samsung Galaxy S4 is the fastest selling smartphone in world. The korean giant sold 10 million units to global channels within 27 days. The company also announce that new colors will be launched in coming months.

Update : Samsung announces new color options for its latest flagship Galaxy S4 at press event in London. The new colors include Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn and Pink Twilight.

Update : Samsung officially announced a new gold edition Galaxy S4 smartphone on Twitter via @SamsungMobileME. Less than two weeks after Apple announced gold iPhone 5S, Samsung is following by introducing a gold version of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone. There is no further information available on pricing and availability.
