BlackBerry Milan


BlackBerry Milan will be the next Qwerty slider from BlackBerry featuring the next generation BlackBerry 10 OS. The form factor factor of Milan is similar to the latest slider BlackBerry 9810. BlackBerry Milan was first rumored back in December last year. BlackBerry is in final phase and testing out the final prototypes for M-series. BlackBerry Milan will feature a 4-inch 720p display on top of ever popular BlackBerry Qwerty keypad. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 2GB RAM. BlackBerry Milan will come pre-installed with BlackBerry’s next generation BlackBerry 10 OS. For multimedia, it will feature a 8 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p video and a front facing HD camera for video calls. For connectivity, BlackBerry Milan will support Bluetooth 3.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC technology and LTE mobile connections. There is no further information available on the device but rumors are that it will be launched during second half of 2013. The best part is that it is in testing phase and we will definitely be seeing it next year. BlackBerry officially launched BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 on Jan 30th at BlackBerry 10 launch. Update : A new concept design (pictured below) from Alex Hong shows a BlackBerry Slider design featuring large display and Q10 like QWERTY keypad. There is still no official information available on BlackBerry 10 Slider from the canadian company.

Update : A newly filed patent shows a new storable keyboard with variable angular orientations. The keyboard moves between a stored position in a housing and a deployed position. The keyboard automatically has a first angular orientation with respect to the housing when in stored position and a second, different angular orientation with respect to the housing when in deployed position. It is rumored to feature in BlackBerry’s next flagship smartphone codenamed Milan.

Update : According to a latest leak, BlackBerry is testing a Torch like BlackBerry 10 smartphone with full HD display (1440 x 1440). In addition to that it was recently leaked in the description of the official BlackBerry Virtual Expert app.

“Here is a sampling of the current tests, customized to your BlackBerry model: – Touch Screen – LCD – USB port – Main Keypad – Keyboard – Side keys – Slider (for those with a slider) – Camera – Speaker – Loudspeaker – Headset – Microphone – Vibrator – Bluetooth – Status LED”

The above sample was spotted by Bla1ze @CrackBerry. It somehow confirms that BlackBerry is testing the device internally and might launch it in future. It could also be a mistake from the people at BlackBerry.

Update : A new leaked images (pictured below) with massive screen display has been published on Techguyzz. It is rumored to be the display of BlackBerry’s future flagship smartphone. It could be the display for the future QWERTY flagship device or for BlackBerry Milan, BlackBerry’s first BlackBerry 10 slider smartphone.




Update : BlackBerry Officially Unveils BlackBerry 10 Slider at MWC 2015


The new BlackBerry 10 Slider will come with a curved edged display similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge. BlackBerry is expected to launch this flagship device by the end of Q3 of 2015. Stay tuned for more updates.

    I was on my way down to buy the z10
    until somebody told me about this
    however there’s rumors that blackberry have scrapped this phone

      BlackBerry initially scrapped the Milan project but recent rumors suggest that the company is in fact testing torch like BlackBerry 10 smartphone. Just want to add BlackBerry will launch six new smartphones during 2013. Aristo with quad core processor is rumored to be the next flagship smartphone.
