BlackBerry maker RIM is working on a 5-inch smartphone featuring next generation BlackBerry 10. It is a part of RIM’s BlackBerry 10 portfolio and will be launched during second half of 2013. Rumours are that BlackBerry phablet will feature a 5-inch HD display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by dual core processor and 2GB RAM. BlackBerry phablet will run RIM’s next generation BlackBerry 10 OS. There is no further information on this phablet but rumors are that it will be launched during second half of 2013. With the rumored BlackBerry Aristo – first quad core powered BlackBerry and now this phablet, RIM is definitely moving in right direction. It just needs to bring these devices to the market as soon as possible. Future of the company depends on the success of BlackBerry 10 operating system. Update : New rumors suggest that BlackBerry Phablet will feature a 4GB RAM and is expected to launch during second half of 2013.
