Nokia Lumia 820

Nokia Lumia 820 is the latest mid-range smartphone from Nokia to feature Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8. It will be launched alongside Lumia 920 at an event in New York on September 5. Lumia 820 will feature a 4.3-inch display. There are no further details available for this mid-range smartphone but rumors are that it will feature dual core processor, 1GB RAM, NFC technology, 5 Mega Pixel rear camera, 1.3 Mega Pixel front camera for Skype video calls and LTE support.

Lumia 820 will also feature Wireless charging via a charging pad. A magnetic strip will be placed at the back of Lumia 820 to support wireless charging. It will support the Qi wireless power standard and is also compatible with other wireless charging products. Lumia 820 will compete against the likes of HTC Accord, HTC Desire X, LG Optimus L9 and Sony Xperia V. Stay tuned for more updates or follow @harrym20 on Twitter.

Update : Nokia will unveil a new Monster branded Purity Pro headsets at the launch of next generation smartphones ( Lumia 920 & Lumia 820) on September 5. Headsets are integrated with Monster’s active noise cancellation technology. It will also support playback via Bluetooth & NFC. The Purity Pro headsets will be available during Q4 of 2012 and will cost £249.

Update : Nokia Lumia 820 will be available in UK from Nov 9. All major mobile carriers will sell the budget friendly smartphone. It will be free on £36 per month contract.

Update : Nokia is rolling out Windows Phone GDR2 update to Lumia 920/820 in near future. The update is spotted on Nokia servers and users can manually flash the update on their Lumia Smartphones.
